How to Measure:

When selecting the size of cover for your outdoor furniture or grill, it is critical to choose the proper size. The goal is to select the size that is slightly larger than the measurements of your items. Otherwise, you may end up with a cover that is too small, is pulled too tight, and does not adequately protect your furniture or grill from the elements. On the other hand, if you select a cover that is too large, you will end up with billowing and a loose fit that will also allow dirt, debris, and moisture to get under the cover. In order to ensure that you get the perfect fit, please follow the measuring instructions below carefully:

Table and Chair Sets:

  • Position all of your chairs around your patio table and push them up to the table.
  • When measuring a circular or square table, simply measure the diameter required for the cover by measuring from the back of the chair at one end all the way across the table to the back of the chair farthest away from the first chair.
  • If you are measuring an oval table or rectangular table, please make sure that you measure the longest distance from chair to chair across the table (length) and the shorter distance from chair to chair across the table (width).
  • Note that the diameter or length of the cover will be quite a bit larger than simply the measurement of your table because the chairs will be included in the measurement.
  • Next, take the tallest chair that you have around the table and measure its height from the top of its back to the ground.
  • If your chair or sofa is taller than 35”, it is a ‘high backed.’
  • From the information below, select that cover that is slightly larger than the diameter or length that you measured.
  • Then select the cover with a height (or skirt) that is 2” to 6” shorter than the chair height that you measured; this will allow sufficient clearance from the ground.

Chairs

When measuring for chairs, you will need to take three measurements:

Measuring Outdoor Chair Covers
Height:

All you need to do is measure the height of the chair from the ground to the top of the chair back. If it is shorter than 35”, you have a regular back chair and if it is taller than 35”, you have a high backed chair

Depth:

Measure from the back of the chair to the front of the chair to obtain this second dimension

Width:

Finally, measure across the chair to obtain the width.

With these three dimensions in hand, compare them to our cover offerings.
**Please note, when reading our dimensions, they are listed Deep, Wide, and High (for example, a listing of 27 X 35 X 30 is 27”Deep, 35” wide, and 30” high).

Barbecue Grills

When measuring for chairs, you will need to take three measurements:

Measuring Grill Covers
Height:

All you need to do is measure the height of the grill from the ground to the top of the grill;

Width:

Measure from the one side of the grill to the other side (including all trays at either end that will also be covered).

Depth:

Finally, measure from the front of the grill to the back at the widest point in order to obtain the depth.
